In that capacity, he advocates for Jewish rights in the ancestral homeland and works to strengthen Israel’s narrative around the world. Alongside his public diplomacy efforts, he leads major restoration projects at historic biblical sites in Hebron, including the Tomb of Ruth and Yishai and the Tomb of Avner Ben Ner. He is also spearheading, together with the Government of Israel, an initiative to rebrand Route 60 – the ancient Road of the Patriarchs and Matriarchs – as “The Biblical Highway.”
Rabbi Fleisher is an elected Councilman in one of the largest municipalities in Judea, and advises Israeli government ministers on international affairs. He hosts a major English-language YouTube channel and podcast, and appears regularly as a commentator in mainstream international media.
A graduate of Cardozo Law School, Rabbi Fleisher is a paratrooper who continues to serve in the IDF reserves.
While in college, he founded Kumah, an organization dedicated to strengthening Jewish immigration to Israel, building the Land of Israel, and teaching Torah worldwide. Today Yishai partners with The Hebron Fund and numerous educational initiatives to reinforce Jewish identity, to strengthen the country and the Land of Israel, and to spread the love of Israel globally. His guiding belief is simple: We can all be part of the miracle and Build Israel together!
